LiveCareer.com Overview
LiveCareer.com is one of the prettier websites in the resume writing industry. It’s clean and user-friendly at first site. You get a resume builder, too. If you want a plain resume and you can write your own content, the tool will give you the format. As for the resume writing services, it’s not that easy to locate them at the website. You’ll have to browse around and explore the dropdown menus, but they are there.
You’ll notice that the company is more focused on promoting its automated resume builder rather than its writing services. That was a warning sign. Still, we got several requests from our readers to give you LiveCareer reviews, so here it comes.
The company promises to give you a professionally-written resume in 2-3 days. That’s a great offer, since many other services take much longer to craft a unique resume. The problem with this website is that it doesn’t feature information about the writers. You don’t know who will handle your resume and what qualifications they have.
LiveCareer.com Quality
Before writing my LiveCareer.com review, I ordered a resume at the website. The company guarantees to deliver a resume that showcases your strengths and value. The prices seem affordable. I went for a Professional resume, which comes with a $199 price tag. Unfortunately, the package doesn’t include a cover letter.
Did the quality justify this price? Unfortunately, no. This resume was too long. A 2-page resume is still long, but it’s acceptable for professionals and tradespeople. This one surpassed 3 pages. To make things worse, the most important information about the candidate’s skills was on the third page. No hiring manager would get that far.
LiveCareer.com Customer Support
A live chat is always a nice touch. That’s why the customer support evaluation is the most positive aspect of our LiveCareer review. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work quite like a live chat. It’s more like a contact form that you’ll have to submit and wait for your answer. The representatives are quick to respond, but there’s still some waiting involved.
You also get the ability to give the company a phone call. The website features numbers for the USA, UK, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia. Cool.
LiveCareer.com Delivery
I expected a much better service from LiveCareer. According to the claims at the website, you can request a one-on-one phone consultation with your writer. We didn’t get such an opportunity. The first draft was ready in 3 business days, and that’s different from 2-3 days, which is what the website tells you.
The writer was not available for consultations. We did not get a revision, even though we complained about the length of the resume.
LiveCareer.com Payment Options
You can pay with Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover.
LiveCareer.com Discount System
I cannot find any free features or discounts for clients of LiveCareer resume service
I ordered a cover letter after reading a LiveCareer.com review, and I wasn’t pleased too much with the job that the writers did. Especially, when it comes to formatting the cover letter, it wasn’t really visually appealing, rather all over the place.
If you take a look at a LiveCareer review you’ll see that one of the major faults is their writing skill, and I have to agree. It’s not as good as it should be, especially because you’re paying a so called professional to do it all for you.
