ResumeWriters looks like a okay website. You see a photo of professionally-looking people. The writers, maybe? The website doesn’t feature any information about the writers and their qualifications, so we can’t be sure.
There’s an interview guarantee: if you don’t get an interview when you apply for a job with the resume you order, they will provide a full refund. Still, I was unable to find ResumeWriters reviews that confirmed this policy. I checked the terms and conditions, and guess what: there’s a clear disclaimer to this claim made at the website: “ResumeWriters.com has made NO express, implied or other representations about what its service will do to a client’s chances of landing a job or getting an interview.” What?
Naturally, I decided to evaluate this service and get first-hand experience.
A resume of Student quality costs $169.95. As soon as we got a resume crafted by this service, I realized that the prices were more than expensive. They are outrageous for the quality I got.
What we got was practically useless. Entry-level resumes are the hardest to write. When you don’t have much experience to include, the resume has to be in functional format (the skills are its highlight).
Here, I got a simple list of skills. These were random power words that made no sense regarding the job this resume was aiming for. The experience section, on the other hand, was inflated. The writer was supposed to provide details about a simple internship, but he made it look like this student was a project coordinator. We never said such thing in the instructions. It was a lie.
ResumeWriters.com Customer Support
The customer support is an important part of my ResumeWriters review. I was happy with the way the customer representative responded to my messages before I placed the order. Once I became aware that I was not getting a refund, the representative explained that the terms and conditions are clear regarding this issue. Yes, the terms are clear, but the claims at the website mislead the customers.
The support is available via phone and email. Both contact options are clearly featured at the top of the page.
It’s not easy to find information on the delivery deadline, but it’s there. You can expect your resume within 72 hours. That’s great! The writer did deliver the resume on time. I was happy to see the draft attached in an email, but I was not happy with the results.
To conclude this ResumeWriters.com review, it may be a good service for lucky customers. It all depends on the writer you’ll get. In our case, it didn’t go that well.
